Mumbai: The Maharashtra Department of School Education and Sports has officially updated the deadline for First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions for 2025.

The release of the general final merit list has been pushed to June 11. The final merit was scheduled to be released on June 8, but will now be released on June 11.

Officials have said that the decision was taken to ensure that all applications are processed fairly, especially for students whose Part 2 registration was either incomplete or locked due to system errors.

Candidates who have applied for FYJC admission 2025 can easily check the final merit list by visiting the official website mahafyjcadmissions.in and logging in with their credentials.

The revised admission process affects over 20 lakh available seats in 9,281 junior colleges offering streams in arts, commerce and science across Maharashtra.

As per the latest timeline, students can submit their objections or requests for correction from June 7 to June 9 using the “Grievance Redressal” feature in their login.

These requests are being addressed online by the respective Deputy Director of Education during the same period. The final merit list will be shown on June 11.

The admission process will continue with zero-round quota admissions, including management, in-house and minority quotas, from June 12 to June 14.

After that, the merit list for CAP Round 1 will be prepared on June 17, and you can expect the seat allotment list for CAP Round 1 to be posted on June 26.

This year’s admission cycle has set a new record, with over 12.75 lakh applications processed, reflecting the scale and competitiveness of the state’s centralised Class 11 admission system.

To help those who had submitted their forms a little late, the registration deadline was extended till 2 pm on June 5, giving more students a chance to complete their Part 2 forms and be eligible for the merit listing.

Students and parents are advised to stay updated through the official FYJC portal and complete all procedures within the stipulated timelines.

The revised schedule not only aims to resolve previous glitches but also to streamline the admission process for lakhs of students transitioning into junior college this academic year.
