Mumbai, November 12: Worrying news is coming from Mumbai where veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was taken to Critical Care Asia Multispecialty Hospital in Juhu late Tuesday night. He reportedly fainted at home. His lawyer and close friend Lalit Bindal confirmed this. The 61-year-old actor is currently under medical observation and is undergoing several neurological tests.

According to reports the incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Tuesday night when Govinda began feeling uneasy and suddenly fainted. Bindal said, “He was experiencing some confusion and fainted. All tests are being conducted and we are now awaiting the neurologist’s advice. His condition is now stable.”

Govinda was immediately taken to Critical Care Hospital in Juhu where doctors began preliminary examinations. Furthermore it is being reported that the actor’s condition is steadily improving. Most importantly doctors have advised continued monitoring until the results of all tests are available.

Govinda’s legal advisor also shared health information on social media writing:

“My dear and respected @govinda_herono1 has been admitted to the hospital after complaining of disorientation and unconsciousness. I wish him a speedy recovery.”

Second Hospitalization in a Year

Worryingly this is the second time in a year that the actor has been hospitalized. It’s worth noting that in October 2024 Govinda was admitted to the same hospital after being shot in the right leg by a gunshot from his licensed revolver at home. During this time Govinda underwent surgery and was discharged three days later after a full recovery.

Most importantly Govinda has been hospitalized recently. Furthermore a day earlier, he had visited veteran actor Dharmendra who is under medical care at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Govinda was seen leaving the hospital premises with a visibly worried expression.

Upcoming Films and Personal Life

He is known as Bollywood’s “Hero No. 1.” Govinda has several upcoming projects, including “Len Den: It’s All About Business,” “Bayan Haath Ka Khel,” and “Pinky Darling.” Furthermore earlier this year, he appeared on “The Great Indian Kapil Show.”

Govinda, who reigned supreme in the 1980s and 1990s with hits like “Coolie No. 1,” “Hero No. 1,” and “Raja Babu,” remains a beloved star of Indian cinema.

Currently Govinda’s doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable. He is responding well to treatment. Further information is expected after his neurological evaluation is complete.
