Coaching Center Head Attacked on Camera as Raj Thackeray’s MNS Workers Unleash Violence in Mumbai
As political violence continues in Maharashtra, Raj Thackeray’s MNS workers were caught on camera attacking the operator of a coaching centre in Kalyan, Mumbai. The viral video shows MNS members slapping and throwing things at Siddharth Singh Chandel over allegations of high fees and irregular classes. The incident has sparked outrage online and raised concerns about rising attacks under the guise of Marathi identity. Despite public criticism, the MNS has neither condemned nor apologised but warned of further action if their leader is targeted.
The political violence in Maharashtra fails to subside with recurrent instances of Raj Thackeray’s MNS workers resorting to violence to get their message across.
The latest incident, which was caught on camera and has since gone viral, happened at a coaching centre in Mumbai, where MNS workers physically manhandled Siddharth Singh Chandel, head of a coaching centre.
Siddharth Singh Chandel ran a coaching centre in the Kalyan suburbs by the name of Siddhartha Logic Coaching Centre and trained students for different competitive examinations, including IAS.
The MNS workers alleged that Chandel charged high fees from students but did not conduct regular classes.

Chandel, when confronted by the MNS workers, was talking on his smartphone and attempted to pacify them.
However, the altercation increased, and seconds into the video, one MNS worker slaps him while the second hurls a bottle at him. A few seconds later, another MNS worker hurls a wooden plaque at him.
In the video, the group of students can be seen cowering in a corner. However, one of the students dared to take a video of the incident.
The video ends abruptly with the MNS workers still threatening the Coaching Centre Head.
The violence by Raj Thackeray’s MNS workers has been increasing in recent months. The attacks are a fallout of a recent state government order, which was later withdrawn for all classes from Class I to Class V, to teach Hindi as a third subject.
The issue unified the squabbling Thackeray siblings, Uday Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, who opposed the order and are claiming the withdrawal of the order as their victory.
There have been attacks on migrants from other states who have come to the city in search of employment. Shopkeepers have also been attacked for failing to speak in Marathi or for posts on social media, which were considered as an affront to Marathi culture by the MNS.
Netizens have condemned the attacks as going against the cosmopolitan fabric of Mumbai, where communities of different languages and creeds coexist.
However, neither Raj Thackeray nor his party has condemned the actions by MNS workers nor apologised for their actions.
The party has also threatened more actions if its leader is criticised.

Basoda 2026 Wishes, Images, Messages, Greetings, Quotes, Shayari and Instagram Captions
Basoda, also known as Sheetla Ashtami, is a Hindu festival dedicated to Maa Sheetala, the goddess believed to protect devotees from diseases and infections. Celebrated eight days after Holi, the festival involves offering cold food prepared the previous day and seeking blessings for good health and well-being.
Basoda is also known as Sheetla Ashtami. It is also known locally as Basoda, Budha Basoda or Basiaura. This festival is dedicated to Mother Sheetla who is considered the goddess of health and cleanliness. It is believed that fasting and worshipping on this day provides relief from diseases and keeps people healthy.
Sheetla Ashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Chaitra, eight days after Holi. This year, Basoda will be celebrated on March 11th. Worshiping Mother Sheetla on Basoda day provides relief from smallpox, measles and other infectious diseases.
It is believed that Sheetla Mata is extremely fond of coolness. Therefore food is prepared the day before Basoda (Sheetla Saptami). On the morning of Ashtami the same cold and stale food (such as curd, rabri, rice, puris and parathas) is offered to the Mother. After this all the members of the family accept the same stale food as Prasad.
