Electric vehicles exempted from toll on Atal Setu, Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Samruddhi Mahamarg
Maharashtra has announced a 100% toll exemption for electric cars and buses on Atal Setu, Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Samruddhi Mahamarg under its EV Policy 2025. The move is aimed at promoting EV adoption, leading to huge savings for over 22,000 registered passenger EVs in the state.
Maharashtra has announced a major relief to electric vehicle (EV) owners by giving them 100 per cent toll exemption on some of the busiest routes in the state.
In a big boost for Mumbaikars, passenger EVs and electric buses will no longer have to pay toll on Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link), Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Samruddhi Mahamarg under the Maharashtra EV Policy 2025.
The urban development department has confirmed that the exemption applies to electric four-wheelers and buses, including both private operators and state transport undertakings. The exemption is primarily applicable at the Shivaji Nagar and Gavan toll plazas for Atal Setu. The move partially amends an earlier order under which toll was levied on all categories of vehicles since the bridge opened in January 2024.

Officials say the exemption is meant to promote the adoption of electric vehicles and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. It is estimated that there are currently more than 22,000 electric passenger vehicles registered in Maharashtra.
A large portion of them regularly pass through these corridors. Given that about 60,000 vehicles pass through the Atal Setu every day, the decision is expected to provide immediate savings to those travelling by electric vehicles.
But the toll exemption is limited to passenger electric vehicles only. Also, electric freight vehicles are excluded from the scheme. On other state highways under the Public Works Department, a 50 per cent concession has been proposed. The final decision on which is yet to be taken by a high-level steering committee.
Apart from this, states like Himachal Pradesh and Haryana also offer state-level toll relief for electric vehicles. Yet there is no nationwide exemption under the Central Highway Rules. For now, Maharashtra’s aggressive approach towards sustainable transport is proving to be an important milestone. This makes it a leader in promoting clean and cost-efficient transportation.

IPTV Sweden Offering Access to Diverse Channels and High-Quality Streaming
In today’s digital era, television consumption is evolving rapidly. Traditional cable or satellite TV is no longer the only way to access a wide range of entertainment. IPTV, or Internet Protocol Television, has emerged as a revolutionary method for watching television, allowing viewers to stream content directly over the internet. In iptv sweden services are gaining significant popularity as they provide access to a vast array of channels, high-quality streaming, and flexible viewing options that cater to modern lifestyles.
What is IPTV and how does it work?
IPTV is a technology that delivers television programming through the internet rather than conventional terrestrial, satellite, or cable formats. Instead of receiving a fixed broadcast schedule, users can access content on-demand, choosing what to watch and when to watch it. This system uses an internet connection to deliver high-definition video and audio to compatible devices such as smart TVs, computers, smartphones, and tablets.
The main components of IPTV include a service provider, a set-top box or compatible device, and a reliable internet connection. Service providers maintain servers that host channels and video content, which are then streamed to users in real-time. Many platforms also include on-demand libraries, giving subscribers access to movies, series, and shows anytime they wish.
Why is IPTV becoming popular in Sweden?
Sweden has a tech-savvy population with high internet penetration and a growing preference for flexible digital entertainment. Unlike traditional cable TV, which often comes with limited channel selections and fixed schedules, IPTV allows Swedish viewers to customize their viewing experience. This flexibility appeals to busy households, remote workers, and individuals who want more control over their entertainment.
Additionally, IPTV often provides a more affordable alternative to traditional pay-TV services. With various subscription packages tailored to different preferences and budgets, users can access channels and content without paying for unnecessary extras. This affordability, combined with convenience, makes IPTV an attractive choice for many Swedish households.
What channels and content can viewers access through IPTV Sweden?
IPTV in Sweden offers an impressive variety of channels and content, spanning genres such as news, sports, entertainment, movies, documentaries, and lifestyle programs. Many services include international channels as well, providing viewers with access to global entertainment alongside Swedish broadcasts.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy live streaming of football, ice hockey, and other popular games, while families can access children’s channels, educational programs, and family-friendly movies. On-demand content libraries further expand the options, allowing viewers to catch up on missed shows, watch full-length movies, or binge-watch popular series at their own pace.
How does IPTV improve the viewing experience compared to traditional TV?
One of the primary advantages of IPTV is its flexibility. Viewers are no longer bound by a fixed broadcast schedule. Programs can be paused, rewound, or replayed, giving users complete control over their entertainment. Many services also offer recording features, enabling users to store favorite shows for later viewing.
Another key benefit is picture and sound quality. IPTV platforms typically deliver high-definition streaming, with some services offering 4K resolution and advanced audio options. This ensures a viewing experience that is often superior to conventional cable or satellite TV.
Interactive features are also a notable advantage. Some IPTV services provide electronic program guides (EPGs), personalized recommendations, and multi-screen options, allowing users to watch different channels on multiple devices simultaneously. These features create an immersive and user-centric experience that traditional TV cannot match.
How secure and reliable is IPTV in Sweden?
IPTV services in Sweden operate under regulated conditions to ensure security and reliability. Reputable providers use encryption and secure servers to protect user data and maintain service quality. This minimizes the risk of unauthorized access or piracy while providing a smooth streaming experience.
Reliability also depends on internet speed and stability. With Sweden’s advanced internet infrastructure, most households can enjoy uninterrupted streaming, even for high-definition content. Providers often optimize their networks to reduce buffering and latency, ensuring that live broadcasts and on-demand content are delivered seamlessly.
Can IPTV services be customized for individual preferences?
Yes, one of the strongest features of IPTV is personalization. Users can select packages based on their favorite channels or types of content, creating a tailored viewing experience. Many platforms allow parental controls, language preferences, and personalized watchlists, ensuring that each household member enjoys the service according to their needs.
Some services also offer interactive apps and interfaces that suggest content based on viewing history and interests. This personalized approach enhances engagement and satisfaction, making IPTV a preferred choice for viewers seeking convenience and variety.
What are the benefits of IPTV for Swedish households?
IPTV provides multiple advantages for viewers. It offers a comprehensive entertainment solution with access to local and international content. The ability to stream content on various devices ensures that entertainment is not restricted to a single television set, accommodating modern lifestyles where people watch shows on smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
Cost efficiency is another benefit. By selecting only the channels and content they want, households can save money compared to traditional pay-TV subscriptions. Additionally, the availability of on-demand content eliminates the need to record shows manually, offering time-saving convenience.
For families, IPTV offers educational programming, children’s content, and family-friendly shows, ensuring that there is something for everyone in the household. Sports fans, movie lovers, and news enthusiasts all benefit from tailored packages that meet their specific interests.
How does IPTV support businesses and public institutions?
IPTV is not only useful for households but also for businesses and public institutions. Hotels, gyms, hospitals, and offices can use IPTV to provide entertainment, news, or informational content to clients, patients, or employees. Customized content feeds can be delivered to multiple locations, ensuring a consistent and engaging viewing experience.
In educational institutions, IPTV can be used to stream lectures, tutorials, and educational programs, making learning more accessible and interactive. Public sector organizations can also deliver important announcements, updates, or community programming efficiently using IPTV.
What future developments can be expected in IPTV Sweden?
The future of IPTV in Sweden looks promising as technology continues to evolve. Advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning will enhance personalized content recommendations. Integration with smart home systems, virtual reality, and augmented reality could create immersive viewing experiences that go beyond traditional screens.
High-speed internet improvements, including 5G networks, will enable even more reliable streaming of ultra-high-definition content. Interactive features, cloud DVR options, and multi-device support will further enhance user convenience and satisfaction.
Conclusion
IPTV Sweden is redefining television viewing by offering diverse channels, high-quality streaming, and personalized experiences for both households and businesses. It combines the advantages of internet technology with traditional entertainment, providing flexibility, convenience, and reliability.
From live sports and international news to movies, series, and educational content, IPTV meets the needs of modern viewers who demand control over what they watch and when they watch it. Its affordability, interactive features, and multi-device support make it an ideal choice for Swedish households and public spaces alike.
As the technology continues to advance, IPTV will likely become an essential part of daily entertainment, bridging the gap between traditional broadcast television and the demands of a digitally connected world. With a combination of convenience, quality, and variety, IPTV Sweden provides an accessible and enjoyable viewing experience for everyone.
