Viral Fight Video: Chaos in Mumbai Local as Two Women Brawl, Injuries Reported
A video of such an incident is going viral on social media, where a fight broke out between two women in a Mumbai local train.
Not only this, the fight was so big that blood was seen coming out of one of the women’s head.
Due to which, serious concerns have arisen about security in Mumbai’s busy local train system.
A fight in a women’s special train on the Western Line
It is being reported that this fight took place inside the women’s special train going from Churchgate to Virar near Bhayander station on June 17 at around 7:30 pm.
It all started with an argument between two women near the door of the train, and soon they started hitting each other and pulling each other’s hair.

Shocking scenes are shown in the video
A passenger captured this fight on their phone. In the footage, both women can be seen pulling each other’s hair and shouting.
A woman is bleeding profusely from her head.
People can be seen intervening to stop the fight, and a passenger closed the gate so that the women would not fall down while fighting.
Why they fought is still unknown
It is not known why the brawl took place but some people have said that the struggle between the two women started over the seat.
Government Railway Police (GRP) said that they have seen the viral video and are currently investigating the matter.
Not only this, the surprising thing is that not a single woman from either side has filed a complaint yet.
Police detained them for questioning
When the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) reached the spot, the fight was over.
Both women were taken to Bhayander Railway Police Station.
They live in Naigaon East and Virar East.
After giving statements, both said that they did not want to file a police case, so they were allowed to go home.
Crowded trains, security issues
Fights in local trains are unfortunately becoming a common occurrence these days, especially in the women’s coach during peak hours.
The absence of CCTV cameras and the delay in police action leave many passengers feeling unsafe.
This recent video shows how dangerous the situation can get, especially when fights take place near the door of a moving train.

Is January 15, 2026 a bank holiday in Mumbai?
January 15, 2026, was added as a special public holiday on January 7 under the Negotiable Instruments Act to facilitate Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections. As a result, all public and private banks in Mumbai will remain closed, with no branch-level banking services available to customers.
This date was not part of the original annual bank holiday calendar issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) or the state government. It was officially added on January 7, 2026.
The Maharashtra government declared this special public holiday under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 to facilitate the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections.
What this means for banking:
This holiday has been notified under the Negotiable Instruments Act. This means that all public and private sector banks in Mumbai city and Mumbai suburban districts are mandated to remain closed. This also ensures that bank employees can exercise their right to vote in the civic elections.
For Mumbaikars this means that physical branch services, including cash deposits, check clearing and locker access, will not be available on that day.
