The 18th season of IPL 2025 hit a pause for a week due to the ongoing border dispute between India and Pakistan.

But now, after that break, the IPL is set to kick off again on May 17. However, the most successful team in IPL history, the Mumbai Indians (MI), is facing a new challenge.

Some of their key foreign players won’t be available during this crucial stage of the tournament.

These 3 key foreign players of the Mumbai Indians will not be available for the remaining matches

Ryan Rickelton (South Africa)

Rickelton, who has been the standout player for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, is now uncertain about participating in the remaining playoff matches.

This is because he has been called up to join South Africa’s World Test Championship (WTC) squad.

The warm-up games for the WTC Final are set to kick off on June 3, with the final itself starting on June 11.

As a result, it looks like Ryan Rickelton won’t be able to play in the rest of the matches for the Mumbai Indians.

Will Jacks (England)

England’s all-rounder Will Jacks might get the call for the ODI series against the West Indies, which kicks off on May 29.

Coincidentally, the IPL playoffs will be happening at the same time.

If he makes the squad for the West Indies matches, Jacks could miss the remainder of the tournament, leaving MI without one of their key players.

Corbin Bosch (South Africa)

Corbin Bosch, a 30-year-old player from South Africa, has stepped in to join the Mumbai Indians after Lizaad Williams picked up an injury.

Now, there’s talk of him being considered as a reserve for the WTC team.

If that happens and he gets the nod, MI’s fast bowling lineup will feel his absence.

Who can replace him?

It seems that the MI team is looking to give new players a shot, especially since there aren’t many foreign players on the roster.

Krishnan Srijit

Meet 28-year-old wicket-keeper Krishnan Srijit, who’s been making waves in domestic cricket for Karnataka. He’s set to step in for Ryan Rickelton in the upcoming matches, and he could be a surprising asset for MI as they head into the final stage of the tournament.

Bevon Jacobs

Bevon Jacobs, an aggressive player from New Zealand with an impressive T20 strike rate of 148, has the potential to make a big impact by scoring runs quickly. He’s also a solid choice to bolster MI’s lower middle order.

Arjun Tendulkar

Young all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar, who has been with the Mumbai Indians for several years now, might finally get his shot to play in his first match this season. Arjun has a reputation for his impressive bowling with the new ball during the powerplay and is also capable of making significant contributions with the bat.

The Mumbai Indians are eager to keep their winning momentum going as they aim for a spot in the playoffs.

They’ll need to tap into their impressive bench strength and make the most of their squad when selecting the playing eleven.

Fans are on the edge of their seats, excited to see how the five-time champions will perform in the upcoming matches of this season.

Did Jutta Leerdam Suffer a Wardrobe Malfunction at the Olympics? Viral Clip Actually Shows Suzanne Schulting Crash

A viral video falsely claiming to show Jutta Leerdam in a wardrobe malfunction at the 2026 Winter Olympics has been debunked. The footage actually captures Dutch skater Suzanne Schulting crashing during a December 2025 ISU World Cup event in Norway, not Leerdam.

Viral ‘Wardrobe Malfunction’ Claim Debunked: Video Falsely Linked to Jutta Leerdam Actually Shows Suzanne Schulting Crash at ISU World Cup

A video that claims to show Jutta Leerdam suffering a wardrobe malfunction at the Winter Olympics is making the rounds on the internet.

However, the truth is nothing of this sort happened, and the viral video does not show Jutta Leerdam.

Internet sleuths soon uncovered the truth and exposed that the video was of a Dutch skater, Suzanne Schulting, and had happened months earlier.

However, posts claiming that the skater in the clip was Jutta Leerdam continued to spawn across social media.

Jutta Leerdam won a gold medal at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games.

The genesis of the whole controversy can be traced to a post on X made by a user named @nexta_tv, who shared the clip and wrote that speed skating has become hugely viral at the 2026 Winter Olympics—all thanks to Dutch athlete Jutta Leerdam.

The post soon became viral, but the claims are erroneous.

The clip was from an ISU Speed Skating World Cup match in Hamar, Norway, held in December 2025.

The skater in the viral clip was Suzanne Schulting, not Jutta Leerdam, and the former had lost her balance and had crashed during a 500-meter dash.

During the fall her costume tore above her hip, and after she became aware of it, she immediately covered it.

Later Suzanne Schulting spoke to a media outlet and said that everything was going fine until the mishap happened.

She also stated that her hips were scraped. She also talked about her skating suit getting torn and said that she felt very awkward about it.

However, despite the fall, Suzanne Schulting got up and completed the race.

Jutta Leerdam is creating history in Italy and finished the women’s 1000-meter race with a timing of 1:12.31 and beat fellow Dutch skater Femke Kok’s newly set Olympic record.

Beyond her athletic prowess, she is also engaged to social media personality Jake Paul.

In fact, Jake Paul was in tears after seeing his fiancée win the gold medal at the Winter Olympics and also shared a clip on his Instagram handle where he is kissing and carrying Jutta Leerdam, who was wearing her gold medal.

He wrote,

Pascal Kaiser had proposed to his boyfriend at RheinEnergieStadion, where Cologne had won 1-0 against VfL Wolfsburg. Cologne later acknowledged on its Instagram handle that Kaiser was a longtime and ardent fan of the club and came out as queer three years ago.

In the video, which has since become viral, Kaiser could be heard addressing the crowd and stated,

“I don’t want to hide. I want to be visible. I want everyone to see that I love this person. A man. As a man. In football. Will you marry me?”

Popular streamer IShowSpeed had to exit from an Algerian Cup football match after irate fans started throwing objects at him. IShowSpeed was visiting the stadium during his current Africa tour.

IShowSpeed was strolling on the pitch and interacting with fans for his livestream when fans started hurling bottles and other objects towards him. This prompted his security team to whisk him to a safer location near the player’s tunnel.

However, fans continued to throw objects towards him. The fans were annoyed that IShowSpeed was wearing the jersey of the Algerian national team and not the jersey of the local team that was playing in the match.

Staff members tried to pacify a visibly annoyed IShowSpeed and stated that the fans liked him but did not want to be filmed. IShowSpeed, however, stated that they don’t like him because you don’t throw bottles and objects at someone you like.

Later, Speed moved to a private box near the lower stands, but the fans continued to throw bottles at him.

Speed, speaking in his livestream, stated that he could not understand why the fans did not like to be filmed because all had their smartphones out.

He also stated that the match was being telecast live and questioned if they would get angry at the national broadcast. In view of the tense situation, Speed’s security team advised him to exit the stadium.

ter asked his audience not to let the episode spoil the experience. He further added,

“You can’t let stuff like that get you down. You can’t let that cancel out the whole stream. The whole stream, everybody was showing nothing but love. All of my fans showed love in Algeria, obviously. But at that stadium, I don’t know. I don’t know what happened.”

Speed also stated that he will not let the incident affect his Africa tour, which is going on perfectly well and safely. Speed also added that his Africa tour was full of rousing fan interactions and will continue the tour till late January 2026. His Algeria trip started after his stint in Egypt, where he became the first streamer to livestream from the pyramids in Giza.

The incident once again highlights the dangers that streamers encounter while live streaming. The exact reason for the fans’ animosity towards Speed is still unclear.
