David Easterwood: ICE Link Claim Triggers Church Disruption as DOJ Probes Protest Under FACE Act

Authorities confirmed there is no evidence connecting Cities Church pastor David Easterwood to an ICE official of the same name, even as the DOJ probes a protest disruption during a church service.

Amid ongoing unrest in Minneapolis and St. Paul after the shooting of a 37-year-old woman named Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent, the social media users have been claiming that there is a link between a local pastor and the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.

Social media posts have alleged that the pastor at the Cities Church in St. Paul, David Easterwood, was also working as a field office director for ICE in the city.

The claim appears to have originated from the fact that the ICE Field Office Director in St. Paul is also named David Easterwood.

However, there is no evidence to suggest that the pastor at Cities Church and the ICE official are the same person.

While the name matches there is no official report that linked the pastor to also officiating in a federal agency role.

US federal officials are also investigating an incident where anti-ICE protesters interrupted a church service in Minnesota.

The incident happened on Sunday when a group of anti-ICE protestors entered the Cities Church in the St. Paul–Minneapolis area during a Christian service.

CCTV footage of the incident has been widely circulated on social media.

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon stated that the DOJ civil rights division was investigating the incident and trying to ascertain if it contravened the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

Dhillon wrote on social media platform X,

“The @CivilRights is investigating the potential violations of the federal FACE Act by these people desecrating a house of worship and interfering with Christian worshippers.”

He also tagged Attorney General Pam Bondi in the post.

The FACE Act came into existence in 1994 and stipulates that obstructing a person’s right to practice their religion by force, intimidation, or threats constitutes a federal offense and, if convicted, can carry fines and a prison term of up to 10 years.

The city of St. Paul has been at the center of massive ICE operations to identify illegal Somali migrants.

A new video is making rounds on the internet of a man who bears a striking resemblance to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The video has once again reignited conspiracy theories that the sex offender did not die of suicide in 2019.

The short video was taken by a passing motorist and was widely shared on social media platforms, including X. The video shows a grey-haired man behind the steering wheel of a luxury vehicle. The man is seemingly composed and seems to enjoy the drive. The video has sparked intense discussions across social media platforms.

The man in the clip resembled Jeffrey Epstein and was wearing a white cap and sunglasses, making conclusive identification impossible. The video has added fuel to longstanding allegations that the convicted sex offender did not die by suicide in his jail cell, and many netizens are treating it as further proof that Epstein has made his escape.

The video has evoked a mixed response, with a sizeable number of netizens claiming that it was just another instance of a mistaken identity. However, there is a lot of scepticism about the official accounts of the whole sordid Jeffrey Epstein affair, including the circumstances of his death.

‘I used to think there’s no way he’s alive; after the files, I’m not 100% certain,’

Another user commented,

“The resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein is spot on. I, for one, never believed him to be dead. For one, bad men like him live looooonnnnnngggggg.’

However, many netizens also questioned the logic of a fugitive driving a luxury vehicle in public.

‘If it really was who you’re insinuating it is, why would Jeff drive around in a convertible?’

This stand was also articulated by other users.

The war in the Middle East is showing no signs of waning, and both parties are relentlessly attacking one another. Israel and America have already eliminated the top echelons of the Iranian government, which include its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

There are unconfirmed reports that the newly elected supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was wounded in the war. There are also reports that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has suffered injuries in an attack by Iran.

There are also unconfirmed reports that he has been killed.

The latest video of an address by Benjamin Netanyahu has led to speculations, with many claiming that the video was AI-generated and showed the Israeli PM with six fingers on his hand.

Rumours about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s location and safety have increased.

There have been earlier rumours about Netanyahu being affected by Iran’s strikes, but they were all deemed false and devoid of any substance.

However, the latest video has only added to the speculations. Many even contend that the Israeli PM is dead.

One post on X claimed

“Heads up, EVERYONE. @netanyahu is DEAD. The official X handle of @IsraeliPM just deleted this tweet.”

However, internet sleuths soon found that the account has nothing to do with the Kremlin or Russia. Also, the claim that a post was deleted from the Israeli PM’s official handle was cross-checked with Grok and was found to be false.

Grok stated that no tweet was deleted by the Israeli PM, and the screenshot in the post is also fake.

Grok stated that the Israeli PM is alive, and the deluge of death rumors, mostly on Iranian media and social media posts, has been negated by Snopes, Times of Israel, and others as unverified misinformation.

The account also highlighted how Israeli Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was called away in the middle of the meeting, which has also sparked speculation. While the same post contended that Bessent had left the press conference to talk to the US president.

The post also quoted political commentator Johannes M. Koenraadt, who stated that Netanyahu was dead, and it was in line with the body language of Bessent, complete with dead stiffness in Scott Bessent’s body and hands.

Grok has also cross-checked the claim that Netanyahu can be seen with six fingers in the video, and hence, it was AI-generated.

Grok stated that Netanyahu has five fingers on his right hand, and his gesturing at the podium created an optical illusion that looked like he had six fingers.
